Karren in nature
Karren

As a little girl, Karren was no stranger to massage. Her dad would always ask for an elbow in his traps or a neck rub, and she fondly recalls “chopping vegetables for beef stew” on her mom’s back. At Oregon State University, Karren was sitting in an introductory class to Kinesiology that covered the different career paths one could take when Sports Massage Therapy was presented. “I could do that and get signed to an NFL Team if I wanted to. I’ve been massaging my dad for years, and he’s 6’5” and 340 lbs—piece of cake,” she thought to herself. After Karren returned to her family home in Kailua, she enrolled in Hawai’i Healing Arts College.

Through her gift of healing, Karren addresses the deeper causes of muscle pain, fatigue, and overuse. Her keen understanding of the mental and emotional toll on the body allows her to alleviate the stresses of the mind, body, and spirit by incorporating deep tissue, sports massage, gentle stretching, and contemporary cupping methods to release tension and stored trauma. Karren focuses on creating a genuine relationship with clients and develops a treatment plan based on each client’s individual needs.
